Very very beautyful. Both the subject and the realisation. Can I ask you a question? I've seen the work in progress: [link] You've changed the colour of the skin completely. Why? Is it because you changed your mind after you have painted the rest or the first colours influences the second one which covers it?
Thankyou for the compliment, and to answer your question, I didn't change the skin colour much throughout the process.. the first image was taken with very poor artificial lighting. Whereas the finished painting was photographed in full natural light. That's the only difference really!

oh, I love this! It says so much! It really speaks to me personally, because of my ongoing battle with Chronic Lyme Disease. And disease is definitely a physical struggle for survival, but more than that, it's an emotional one.
There's so much to be seen and felt in this picture. I can't say enough about it. You very much deserved that DD. Bravo!
This is so beautiful. I adore it. The saturation of colour, the blending of the flesh, and the amount of thought you put into the design (heart monitor shirt ftw!) shows great depth in your mind and method. Congratulations.
